Those permits included approval from the Town’s Inland Wetlands Commission for the development. It also included approval from the Town’s Planning and Zoning Commission for the subdivision of the land from one parcel into 12 lots, as well as an area for open space as required by the regulations. The project received the approval of the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) for the construction of the new subdivision road into the existing state highway (Rt. 17) and also from the State DEP to connect into the stormwater system in the same state highway.
