Fall 2007

Attorney Bernard Pellegrino Jr.'s year-long effort on behalf of Quinnipiac University in the Town of North Haven culminated on Thursday, September 27, 2007 with the closing transaction held at The Pellegrino Law Firm whereby the University acquired the 104-acre Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield property. The closing was preceded by zoning approvals Mr. Pellegrino obtained on behalf of the University to amend the zoning regulations to permit the educational use in the zone as well as approvals from the wetlands and site plan and special permit approvals from the Planning and Zoning Commission. The $39.6 million dollar deal for the 104 acre campus along Bassett Road will allow Quinnipiac to expand its graduate health sciences programs as well as create a Center for its other graduate education programs in the future.
