Biography

Attorney Ciardiello practices in the areas of general civil litigation, real estate law, appeals, land use and zoning, personal injury, family law, and criminal defense. In addition, he has experience representing municipal clients and local businesses in various litigation matters. Attorney Ciardiello has obtained numerous federal appellate decisions in favor of his clients and has successfully argued dispositive motions before state tribunals. 

Prior to joining The Pellegrino Law Firm, Attorney Ciardiello served as Associate Counsel at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. There he was responsible for drafting appellate decisions for disability and medical malpractice claims. He also litigated federal appeals for a non-profit law firm in Washington, DC, where has also co-authored the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 editions of the Veterans Benefits Manual, the most comprehensive treatise on veterans law.

Attorney Ciardiello earned his Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University in 2012 and his Juris Doctor from American University. While in law school, he served as a Dean’s Fellow at the University’s Tax Law Clinic. He is licensed to practice law in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.

In his spare time, Attorney Ciardiello loves golfing, fishing, and officiating high school football with the New Haven Football Officials Association.
